How accurate is the budget breakdown?
It is a budget range and a trade-by-trade breakdown built from your floor area, finish level and build options, using QSBridge's South African rate card. It does not see your drawings, specification or site, so it is a starting point for planning, not a valuation or a quote. Real prices vary with the site, the specification and the contractor.
What does it cost?
A budget range is free. The trade-by-trade budget breakdown is R300, VAT included. The current prices are always shown on the page before you pay, and you can ask for a refund within 7 days of paying.
What can I do if I already have a contractor's quote?
Upload it to the Quote Checker to see how it compares with a typical South African build, which items may be missing and what to ask your contractor. If you have two or three quotes, use the quote comparison to line them up on the same basis.
Is the Quote Checker a verdict on my contractor?
No. It shows how a quote sits against a reference range, what was left out of the comparison and which questions are worth asking. A difference does not mean a contractor is overcharging. Always ask the contractor to explain it and take professional advice where needed.
What happens to the quotation I upload?
It is used only to prepare your report and is deleted from our system after processing. To read it we send its content to an AI service provider (Google Gemini). See our Privacy Policy for details.
Does QSBridge cover renovations, additions, multi-unit developments, basements or 3+ storey homes?
Not at the moment. QSBridge is built for new-build, single-dwelling homes of up to two storeys above ground. Basements, such as parking levels, aren't included in the estimate because their cost depends on soil, excavation and engineering, so please consult an engineer and a contractor directly.

Is QSBridge a contractor or a quantity surveyor?
Neither. QSBridge gives AI-assisted budget estimates and quote comparisons. It is not a quantity surveyor, an architect or an engineer, and the building contract is always between you and your contractor.
Do you sell my details or connect me with contractors?
No. QSBridge does not sell your details, does not pass them to contractors and is not paid by contractors. You pay us only for your report.
How is this different from just getting quotes myself?
Quotes often cover different things, so the totals cannot be compared directly. QSBridge helps you see what each quote includes and leaves out, and which questions to ask before you sign.
Is my payment information secure?
Payments are processed by Paystack; QSBridge never sees or stores your card details directly.
