Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of QSBridge, operated by Yeong Property Development (Pty) Ltd (registration 2006/018507/07). By paying for or using a QSBridge service you agree to them.

1. What QSBridge provides

QSBridge provides AI-assisted budget estimates, trade-by-trade budget breakdowns and a Quote Checker that compares a contractor's quotation with a reference range based on typical South African building costs, and a comparison of two or three quotations on the same basis.

2. Not professional advice

  • Our reports are budget benchmarks only. They are not a quantity surveyor's valuation, an engineer's or architect's opinion, a professional opinion or a guarantee of any price.
  • Reports are based only on the information and documents you give us. We do not see drawings, specifications, the site or the exact finishes.
  • Our reference range is a guide only. It is not a standard or a fair price, and a quotation above or below it can have many valid reasons.
  • A difference between a quotation and our reference range, or between two quotations, can have many valid reasons. It does not mean that a contractor is overcharging or that a quotation is correct.
  • You must not accept or reject a contractor, or sign a contract, based on a QSBridge report alone. Ask your contractor to explain differences and take professional advice where needed.

3. AI and accuracy

Results are produced automatically. They are not decisions about you and have no legal effect. A person at QSBridge can review a result if you ask: email us and we will look at it.

Our services use artificial intelligence to read documents and prepare results. AI can make mistakes, miss items or misread amounts. We work to keep results useful, but we do not warrant that they are complete or error free. You should check the report against your own documents.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate information and upload only documents you are entitled to share.
  • Use the results as a starting point for questions and negotiation, not as a final decision.
  • Do not misuse the service, attempt to copy our benchmark data in bulk or interfere with the platform.

5. Contractors

QSBridge is not a contractor or a quantity surveyor and is not a party to any contract between you and a contractor. We do not guarantee the work, price, quality or conduct of any contractor. We do not introduce you to contractors, we do not sell your details or leads to contractors, and contractors do not pay us. You pay us only for your report.

6. Payment

Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at 15%. Yeong Property Development (Pty) Ltd is a registered VAT vendor (VAT number 4440232785). We email you a tax invoice after you pay. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your card details. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

A report is delivered digitally as soon as you pay. By paying, you ask us to start preparing it immediately. Because the service starts straight away, the 7-day cancellation right for online purchases does not apply to it (Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, section 42(2)). Our own refund promise in the Refund Policy still applies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, QSBridge is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a decision you make based on a report. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid report is limited to the amount you paid for that report. These limits do not apply to loss caused by our gross negligence or intentional conduct, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be limited by agreement.

8. Intellectual property

The QSBridge platform, benchmark and report layout belong to us. You may use your report for your own project and share it with your contractor, advisers or lenders.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and the date above will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
